We like to invite you to join us at the Whitechapel Gallery on February 11th 2010, to an open dialogue on strengthening democracy - and working for more inclusive approaches to active citizenship.
This event is being organised as part of the Whitechapel Gallery's series - taking place around the table in the room displaying the Guernica tapestry, which will become part of the Whitechapel Gallery records.- with our session being organised by a cluster of three universities (Lincoln, Goldsmiths and Manchester Metropolitan) working as part of a national programme to strengthen research capacity in civil society - our focus being upon active citizenship and inclusive democracy.
For this dialogue we are also collaborating with the national 'Take Part' network and Take Part Pathfinder managed by CDF.
We will be inviting politicians as well as representatives from civil society, including trade unions and multi faith organisations.
